The Legends are currently hiring for the 2011 summer!
Having a summer internship is a great way to gain experience, enhance your resume and keep yourself busy and productive throughout the summer. Intern responsibilities will be catered to the specific abilities and strengths of the individual. Interns will not be paid and however the experience you will gain is priceless!
2011 Internship Opportunities: (March – early August)
Assistant General Manager: Looking for 1 person – You will be the right hand man of the General Manager. This position is perfect for anyone looking to go into management or sports management. You will be asked to attend all home games and assist with in game operations and other important tasks.
Marketing Director: Looking for 2 people - Position responsibilities include working with local business to facilitate promotions and sponsorships. Work closely with General Manager to create marketing materials such as banners, media guides, brochures etc.
Event Coordinator: Looking for 2 people -Facilitate special events such as Little League Days, fundraisers and promotional events. Must have exceptional people skills and ability to work with children.
Radio Announcer: Looking for 1 person – Announce home games on the local 88.5 FM radio station. You must have a sound understanding of the game of baseball. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into broadcast journalism and similar fields.
PA Announcer: 1 more person- Position responsibilities include attending home games and assisting with in game procedures. You will cue player walk-up songs, announce between innings events and plug our sponsors.
Athletic Trainer: Looking for 1 person – Attend all home games. Pay attention and assess the health of Legends players. Must be able to tape ankles, make ice wraps and must have some experience in athletic training. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be a physical trainer, physical therapist, nurse, etc.
Statistician: Looking for 1 person – Attend all home games, hang out in the dugout and keep the score book.
